Guidelines & Sign Up
Welcome to the 2020 Loganville Wing Fling Cook Off! Included in this signup sheet are the guidelines established by both the City of Loganville and that of the Rotary Club of Loganville. It is our sincere hope and intent that this event will be fun and enjoyable for both the Sponsors, Vendors and Contestants as well as the citizens of both Loganville and the Greater Walton communities. As a Contestant you will be asked to sign the commitment form (See attached), insuring that these established guidelines will be closely adhered to for the benefit of all Contestants, Vendors, and Participants in this event.

Contestants: Contestants will be assigned their booth space upon payment of the registration fee of $125.00 payable at time of registration, (You may register online) @ www.wingfling.org. You may offer special coupons and promotions from your company, but you must stay within your booth space in doing so. Booth space will be limited to a 12x12 area. The number of Booth Spaces will be limited so early sign up is encouraged and suggested. Deadline for registration is August 21, 2020.
All registration payments must be received byAugust 21, 2020. If you have registered, but not made payment by August 21, 2020 there will be a $25.00 late fee assessed. All late registrations and payments are subject to this late fee and accepted based on the availability of space and at the discretion of the event coordinators. PLEASE NOTE: Until we have both your FORM and your PAYMENT, you are not registered!
Each Contestant will be responsible for set up and tear down of their Booth space. Booths will be set up in paved areas only and must be set up and in place at least one hour prior to the event start time of 10:00 AM the day of the event. Tear down and clean-up must be finished by one hour after the 3:00 PM close of the event. All spaces will be numbered for ease of recognition. Maps will be made available at the Rotary Tent on the Green.
Each contestant will be furnished with approximately 500 Wings per booth. WINGS will be furnished by the Rotary Club of Loganville once you are registered. Any contestant choosing to use their own wings instead of those furnished by the Rotary Club is subject to being disqualified from prizes. Each contestant CAN offer only one sample of their wings per person and only to those who have purchased a Judging Packet. This will be verifiable by the WING FLING WRIST BAND on the “Tasting Judges”. No cooking will be allowed on the grass areas of the GREEN and precautions must be taken to prevent spills into the road way. Clean up and sanitation within the booth space will be the responsibility of each contestant. If you cook on site you must have on site a “CLASS 5” fire extinguisher. We suggest some type of material to absorb any spillage.
Booth Theme and Design : should reflect the style and flavor you will be offering. Use your imagination and come up with the booth design that not only promotes your enterprise but likewise offers an air of fun and folly! Special awards of $100.00 dollars will be offered for the most original and creative booths, so enjoy this event, dress up and HAVE FUN!
Judging for the best Theme and Designed Booth will be by the Mayor of Loganville, Mr. Rey Martinez and a panel of 3 members of the Rotary Club of Loganville. All decisions are final.
Booth Assignments: Booth assignments will be by first come first served and assigned by the event coordinator. Every attempt will be made to insure your request can be honored.
There will be two overall prizes for contestants this year:
The Judges’ Choice will have a single prize of $250 and will be the result of seven judges sampling all the wings and choosing the best.
The Crowd Favorite will be based on the number of Vegas chips collected. As in the past, there will be a first prize ($500), second prize ($250) and third prize ($100).
As each Peoples’ Choice Judge samples your ware, they may at their choosing cast their vote by placing one of 3 voting chips into your voting box for, 1st Place, 2nd Place or 3rd Place. Winners will be determined by who has the most Chicken poker chips in their voting box. All Voting Box’s will be sealed and clearly marked with the contestant’s name
At the end of the voting time, we ask that all Voting Box’s be returned to the Rotary boot and votes counted. The winners will be announced and trophies and awarded from the central stage at the end of the event. By having the public as the true judge, you can be assured of a fair and impartial VOTE!
